We provide expert support in selecting the equipment best suited to your facility’s needs and in inspecting your existing equipment.
Why is choosing the right equipment important?
If the capacity of the fan used in a ventilation system is lower than required, the necessary amount of air cannot be extracted; if it is higher, the fan consumes more energy than needed and is often run throttled. The right equipment is selected by evaluating the required airflow, the pressure loss of the duct system and the operating conditions together.
When inspecting existing equipment, measurements show whether the fan meets the system’s needs and whether it runs efficiently and safely. A system that could operate with a lower-kW fan may be consuming unnecessary energy.
What we consider when selecting equipment
- Required airflow
- Total pressure loss of the duct system
- Temperature and content of the conveyed air (dust, humidity, fumes, etc.)
- Sound level requirements
- Energy consumption and operating cost
